Journalist Eric Garcia: Autistic People Do Not Need to Be "Fixed"

No one tells people in wheelchairs that they need to learn to walk. No one tells deaf or blind people that they need to learn to hear or see. In this same vein, autistic people should be seen as fully-formed humans, not less than; fully-formed humans who want and deserve the same rights and opportunities as everyone else.
