Biography
Dr. Alexander received his B.A. degree from Temple University and his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has spent his academic career at Johns Hopkins. Alexander has been President of the Southern Sociological Society and editor of the Journal Sociology of Education, and is a Fellow of the American Education Research Association.
