PBS Teachers (opens in a new window)just launched a redesigned site, and part of it is a blog called Media Fusion, which will be a monthly post “about using multimedia resources to address common instructional challenges.”

The inaugural post (opens in a new window)is about meeting the needs of emergent readers. The author, Elizabeth Ross Hubbell, describes how she incorporated multimedia into her classroom, and provides links to a number of early resources teachers and parents can use. The “Classroom Snapshot” portion of the post describes one way teachers might implement the ideas (i.e., juggling multiple kids across multiple technologies). It’s a great resource for those of us looking to provide young children with meaningful experiences with technology!
